AdamJessFx was founded in 2017 by a husband and wife creative team making masks, props, décor, and costumes for the haunted attractions, horror, and Halloween industries. Since then we have worked on many unique projects including brain hungry zombies, homicidal slashers, and all kinds of creatures of the night! Alongside a talented team of artists and creators we have worked with a variety of customers and haunted attractions around the United States to bring to life an assortment of Creatures, Monsters, Creepies, And Crawlies!
Adam Dollins
Growing up, Adam always had a love and passion for all things horror. Constantly watching monster movies and planning what to do for next Halloween. It all started in the year 2011 when Adam decided to build a small home haunt in his grandparents yard and with the whole family on board, it came to life! At 13 years old, Adam taught himself how to make masks by watching old T.V. shows about how movie monsters are made. While learning how to make masks, Adam also pursued learning how to make costumes. With little resources at the time, he turned to his Grandma and she taught him everything he needed to know about how to make costumes. Together they made Clowns, Zombies, and so much more. Throughout the years Adam has gained knowledge and experience in the industry by working at different haunts and theme parks and has had help from many talented artists. His passion and drive to make monsters keeps him eager for the next project to come!
Jessica Dollins
At the age of 5, Jess wanted to become a costume designer. She was enamored by the costumes she would see on films and tv and wanted to make her own. With conventions and cosplay unheard of for Jess, Halloween was the big costuming event! She wanted to replicate uncommon outfits by her favorite characters to dress up for trick or treating. 5 year old Jess had her first teacher and the best of them all....her grandmother! Between the two of them they would create elaborate costumes no one had ever seen. This just inspired Jess more and more throughout the years. She studied Theatre Arts in college and graduated with an AA in Theatre Arts and a minor in Dance and Costume Design. Within her college years she gained knowledge in Makeup artistry, theatre build, and painting. She would later be on the design and creative team for her college, multiple theatres throughout the Inland Empire, Orange County, and Los Angeles, and at a major theme park. She took a break from costume design but missed it dearly. Adam inspired her to return to what she loved and together they were unstoppable. With her returned passion, Jess continues to learn and grow in all fields of the arts.
